Touring Paraguay With 30 People
I Was In Paraguay When I Wrote This, By The Way
There’s one ironclad rule in my household. One that, under normal circumstances, does not bend, does not shift and does not get broken. Full stop.
That rule is that for two full days during Chinese New Year, I disconnect from work completely.
If you know me even a little bit, you know this is so far from my natural character, which, I’ll be honest, makes this quite the challenge for me.
My wife is from mainland China, and in our home, this holiday is sacred, hence the no working for two days rule.
It’s a time for family. For slowing down to celebrate with traditions that have existed for thousands of years.
And let me tell you, when my wife makes a rule, it sticks.
Except for this year….
Something big was happening in Panama, and for the first time, I had to formally request that I be granted an exception.
At the end of the day, my reason was solid. Very solid.
It wasn’t just for some take-it-or-leave-it type of engagement…
I had been invited to an exclusive event where I’d have the opportunity to meet the President of Paraguay.
Now, I’ve been following Santiago Peña for quite some time, and I look to him as a leader who doesn’t just talk about freedom and economic growth; he exemplifies it through every action.
Just look at how he actively runs Paraguay like a fine-tuned business, and I’m sure you’ll agree.
No bloated bureaucracies.
No foreign political interference.
Just pro-business policies, low taxes, and a strong, independent financial system.
He’s exactly the kind of leader I admire.
So when I heard he was coming to Panama, I had to be there.
And my wife, God bless her, understood that.
And let me tell you, it was well worth it.
Not only did I get to meet the man himself, but something even bigger came out of Santiago’s visit to Panama…
Paraguay and Panama are strengthening their relationship.
That’s right.
Two countries that value freedom, low taxes, and respect for the rule of law… working even more closely together.
This is what I love to see.
While the Western world continues its downward spiral of high taxes, overregulation, and wealth destruction, countries like Paraguay and Panama are moving in the opposite direction.
They’re open for business. They’re welcoming investment. And they’re creating opportunities for those who are paying attention.
This meeting between Panama and Paraguay’s leaders? This tightening relationship?
It’s a signal.
This is a signal that these two nations are leading the way for people like you and me… people who value freedom, financial security, and global mobility above nearly everything.
And get this for another signal….
This all happened just days before I flew out to Paraguay, where, as per the subject line of this newsletter, I was leading one of the highest-level country exploration + investment tours I have ever put together for my clients at Expat Money.
At the time of my writing this, I was literally in the middle of hosting a sold-out, 8-day luxury investment and country exploration tour in Paraguay with 30 incredible people who, just like you, are embracing the offshore lifestyle for greater opportunity and security.
And let me tell you… this experience was nothing short of exceptional.
I arrived in Asunción on the 1st of February to handle some personal business before welcoming the group of 30 that all flew in on the 2nd.
We immersed ourselves in the real Paraguay… not the version you’ll read about online, but the one that serious investors and those building long-term offshore plans are capitalizing on right now.
This trip wasn’t just about scouting real estate, understanding the Paraguayan economy, or securing immigration status (though we did that and more)…
…It was about being in the room with the right people: investors, offshore experts and freedom-seekers… all who are either taking or facilitating action up close and personal.
It was about forming alliances with like-minded individuals who understand that waiting is not a strategy - action is.

WHAT. A. GROUP. Incredible Human Beings.
We started the trip by meeting with my trusted legal and real estate teams to get a full breakdown of Paraguay’s ultra-simple residency, which, by the way, is still one of the easiest in the world, with some of the lowest barriers to “visa maintenance” anywhere.
Many attendees came prepared to start the formal process, and on day one, we took care of the necessary paperwork and made significant strides in the process. Not to pat myself on the back here, but I’ve got to say that the speed at which we get stuff done for our clients is astonishing.
It was an incredibly smooth process. In partnership with the very same people I work with on a near-daily basis, we walked through the precise steps needed to obtain Paraguayan residency, open a bank account, and even set up the legal structures required to start realizing the tax benefits of investing in the country.
Next, we headed to a region that is becoming the most talked about region in Paraguay to explore some investment opportunities. To be clear, I am talking about our time in Nueva Asunción. This is Paraguay’s fastest-growing development hub, and we spent the day on the ground, seeing firsthand why this region is poised for massive growth.
If you know anything about real estate, you know that getting in early is everything, and Nueva Asunción is still in that prime window where prices are low, but demand is in full swing. The investment sweet spot, you may say.
Believe it or not, more than a few of the attendees on this tour locked in properties on the spot…
If you ask me, there is no better way to understand Paraguay’s stability and economic resilience than standing at one of the world’s largest hydroelectric power plants - The Itaipu Dam.
This marvel of nature and engineering brings billions of dollars to the country every single year…. So, we came. Jaw-dropping, truly.
Imagine for a second the force of nature necessary to create such vast amounts of energy…. I don’t have the words for it; honestly, the picture below doesn’t do it any real justice either, by the way.

Soaking In The Power of The Itaipu Dam
Largely due to The Itaipu Dam, Paraguay isn’t just energy-independent; it’s a net energy exporter.
This is why the country has no reliance on outside energy markets and why its economy will remain rock solid for decades, if not centuries, to come.
While Asunción is Paraguay’s political and financial hub, Ciudad del Este is where the economic action happens.
It’s one of the regions in particular that I am very bullish on when speaking about Latin America as a whole.
We toured real estate projects that are positioned to benefit from the growth boom in the region…

Green Parana, Tower I
From rental properties catering to international businesses to high-end residential developments, this is where the money is moving.
The pace of growth here is unlike anything I have ever seen… the speed at which the city is growing is hard to convey - it’s an incredible testament to what a country can become and do for its citizens (and investors) when growth isn’t hindered by worthless red-tape, slow governments or “old guard” politicians who only operate in there best interests.

Group Dinner… With A View
Though you have likely already gathered this, this tour was not a vacation.
It was an intensive, high-level offshore investment experience designed to give attendees real-world insights, direct access to the right people, and the chance to take immediate, informed action.
And If you’re reading this and thinking, “Damn, I wish I could have been there,” I get it.
But here’s the good news: I am offering you the opportunity to be in the type of room that will propel your offshore living and investing plans to the next level.
At the Wealth, Freedom & Passports Conference live in Panama this March, the same partners I trust with my own investments (including the Paraguay Partners who I am with this week) will be there, ready to share insights, answer questions, and help you bring your offshore living and investing plans to life.
This is the best time of the year to connect with offshore legal experts, finance specialists, and real estate professionals from Paraguay, Panama, Brazil, and Colombia who are actively creating wealth and securing freedom for my clients at Expat Money right now.
But here’s the thing…
VIP tickets are gone, and soon, the General Admission tickets will be sold out.
I’ve already had friends, longtime clients, and even personal contacts reaching out, asking if there was any way to squeeze them into the VIP experience, but the space simply isn’t there.
That ship has sailed.
But here’s what you need to understand: General Admission tickets are still available…for now.
This is a rare, high-level event where you’ll be surrounded by serious investors, freedom-seekers, and action-takers.
If you’ve been following me for any amount of time, you already know how valuable being in the right room is.
This is your last chance to put yourself in that room.
Are you going to sit on the sidelines while others take action?
Or are you going to make the savvy, calculated decision to put yourself in the right environment with the right people and start securing your future offshore?
I don’t say this lightly…this event will be the single most valuable conference you attend this year.
Why…?
Because the same calibre of people who spent 8 days with me in Paraguay will be there.
Except, instead of having just 30 people to connect with, there will be more than 200.
Because the same type of boots-on-the-ground investment insights we’re experiencing here will be shared.
Because you’ll get direct access to the exact experts I trust to handle my own offshore strategy.
And because waiting to act is what separates those who thrive from those who get left behind.
If you’re serious about taking action, securing your future, and finally getting in the room with the people who are making things happen, this is your moment.
Speak soon,
Mikkel
PS. If you’ve wondered why I push so hard for people to get into the room, here is why - because opportunities like the ones you will have access to at The Wealth, Freedom & Passports conference don’t come from scrolling Twitter or reading generic headlines. They happen face to face, behind closed doors, in conversations that aren’t broadcast to the world. While most people wait for the “crowd” to tell them where the next opportunity is, you’ll hear it firsthand, weeks, months, or even years before the rest of the world catches on. Get your ticket to the Wealth, Freedom & Passports conference right now by clicking this link here.
